Since 1980 Holland Home Leisure has been encouraging families to “Vacation at Home”. In our early days we installed in ground swimming pools and had one location. Through the years we have grown as more and more families recognize the importance of finding balance in their lives. With the busy lifestyles we lead it’s important to find some time to still spend time together and stay connected. As our company matured so to did our customer base. They quickly told their friends how much fun it was to enjoy their swimming pool or hot tub with their family, but more importantly they spread the word about the level of service Holland Home Leisure provided our customers. Anyone can sell a product but it is our belief we must look after each customer as if they were part of our extended family.

Since those early days we have grown to offer an incredible array of leisure goods including in ground pools, above ground pools, Beachcomber hot tubs, high end outdoor furniture designed for our east coast climate, saunas and the service to support all of these items!

A message from Mike

It is with mixed emotions that Debby and I announce that we will be making a change to the ownership team at Holland Home Leisure at the end of 2012, as our business partner Brad Sweet has decided to get ready for the next chapter in his life, and concurrently, we will be welcoming our new business partners, Mark and Andrea Van Zoost.

Brad became an owner in Holland Home Leisure seven years ago, as we expanded into our current New Minas location, taking on the marketing and enhancing the Holland Home Leisure brand we wanted to build to reflect the Mission of the Company.  Brad was the visionary behind our “Backyard Escapes” magazine, which we first produced for our 30th anniversary in 2010.  The “Backyard Escapes” magazine is now being published by 20 dealers across the country, with a circulation of over 300,000 copies, making it the most widely distributed magazine in the Backyard Leisure Industry in Canada.  Brad brought a dedication to providing exceptional customer service, and we would like to wish Brad, Patricia and their family all the best as they look forward to the next stages of their life.

We are excited at the potential as we look forward, and add youth and enthusiasm to our ownership team.  Both Mark and Andrea have a passion for backyard living, live by our concept of Vacation at Home, and have been customers of the Company for years.  Andrea has owned and operated her own business for a number of years, and has truly remarkable people skills, and will be missed in her prior profession.  Mark comes to us from the world of finance and has been a recognized performer in his peer group.  Mark has spent his entire career with the same institution, having spent time on Bay Street, but returning to his roots here in the valley seven years ago.
